Simwave and NAVTOR hosted S-100 seminar in Rotterdam

Simwave and NAVTOR invited customers and friends to a two-day seminar titled “The New Era of Navigation: S-100’s Road to Implementation.” on October 1-2.
The guests got a warm welcome to Simwave's training simulator facilities by the excellent hosts Ryan Verhagen, CCO, and David Frassetto, Simwave Director of Business Development.
On the opening day, UK Hydrographic Office’s Thomas Mellor and NAVTOR’s Bjørn Kristian Sæstad shared insights on the challenges and opportunities of S-100 in a highly engaging presentation to kick off the discussions. The wide range of industry knowledge and perspectives among the attendees was very valuable inputs on the topic at hand.
Then, we expanded the topic into voyage planning, watchkeeping, and training for 21st-century navigators, where our own Timo Essers, together with Valerio Ferrandino MNI (Simwave), demonstrated how shared knowledge and innovation can help mariners adapt and thrive in an era of rapid change.
