Keeping the traffic flowing: A Marine Superintendent’s view of NavStation

Marine Superintendents are often thought of as a bridge between ships and shore, and there can be a lot of traffic on those bridges! To keep things running smoothly, we need strong systems, robust routines and, increasingly, technology that can help simplify an ever-more complex regulatory, operational and business environment. The feedback I hear from the teams on the Passage Planning module is always positive. With over 10 years’ experience as a Master Mariner, I know how demanding and time consuming the task can be, so the benefits of an automated, standardised system are a game-changer in terms of efficiency, predictability and control.  Having the entire portfolio of vessels on the same integrated ecosystem enables more informed insights, knowledge sharing and, at the end of the day, smarter decision making. For a busy Marine Superintendent, that’s a huge plus.
