NAVTOR's Pay As You Sail (PAYS) is a flexible, user-friendly and cost-effective way to navigate. When we first introduced the service in 2012 it set a new standard for the maritime industry. Since then we have improved and refined the solution further, and molded it into one of the most popular choice of ENC distribution services in Commercial Shipping.
NAVTOR distributes digital charts and publications from the most trustworthy and comprehensive databases, such as UKHO’s ADMIRALTY Vector Chart Service (AVCS)with over 15,750 official Electronic Navigational Charts (ENCs). With aPAYS-subscription, the navigator can immediately access all the ENCs free of charge for planning purposes. By using vessel tracking data, the service only charges for charts that have been under the vessel’s keel during the voyage. This is more convenient, economical and transparent compared to traditional ENC subscription models, which are based on set areas and time scales.
Easy Distribution, Updating And Optimizing Of Navigational Data
With NAVTOR e-Navigation Suitewe aims to realize the potential of digital navigation – and simplify the management of nautical charts and publications. With optimal compression of data size, and services defined by its elegance and simplicity we make life easier, safer and more efficient for both navigators, shipowners and operators.
Pay As You Sail Updating Methods
Option 1: NavBox With NavBox integrated in the bridge networks, the vessel will automatically receive the latest updates of charts and publications. This saves time and ensures full compliance at all times.
Option 2:NavSync and NavStick A more manual alternative to NavBox is to install NavSync on the bridge PC. The software allows navigators to seamlessly access, update and license charts and publications, and then transfer the data to the ECDIS with NavStick.
NavTracker gets it all organized
PAYS-subscribers can easily track, report and manage their ENC portfolio with the complimentary NavTracker software. NavTracker provides both the navigator on board and the ship management on shore with a full overview of chart usage, chart update history, vessel tracking and service management, in addition to a three-days weather prediction.
