The brand new ship MS Roald Amundsen from Hurtigruten is a state of the art vessel, featuring new and environmentally sustainable hybrid technology that reduces fuel consumption and show the world that hybrid propulsion on large ships is possible. The ship was recently the first hybrid-powered cruise ship in the world to sail through the Northwest Passage on its way to Alaska. MS «Roald Amundsen» is designed to sail under the most challenging conditions in the world, with groundbreaking green technology and large battery packs.
